My name is Alexa Cole and I am a second year student at Davidson College in Davidson, North Carolina. I study English as a major and International Studies as a minor. At Davidson, I have a Bonner Scholarship, a program that permits me to to volunteer in the local community. Some of my volunteer activities include tutoring elementary school students, being a caretaker for toddlers at a local daycare center, and working with the refugee students on college admissions. I am very excited to study in South Africa, and immerse myself in Durban’s culture.
