Corey D. Smith is a senior sociology major, journalism minor attending Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia.
Corey is seeking to focus on Black queer identity within the South African context, while also engaging the many forms of masculinity that are at play. Corey decided to participate in this program based off a recommendation as well as the immediate focus on social policy.
As a first generation college student, he believes it is incumbent upon him to be an example of excellence for his family. Traveling abroad is a major step in that process.
